# How to Build and Manage a Sales Team
1. [[Build a Team]]
2. [[Call prospects in the first 5 minutes]].
3. [[CLOSER - Template]]: How you manage the framework
- **Objections / rebuttals must be drilled:** Price, Stall, and Decision maker.
4. **Call record:** record every call to be compliant and make them more accountable to follow the script. Use gong on sale if brick-and-mortar.
5. **Communication:**
- **Daily group huddles:** share testimonials so they remember why they're selling.
- **Weekly 1on1:** tag you in the best call, worst call, average call, go over it, and show you where they followed the script.
- **Monthly reviews:** praise top performers
6. **Cut:** fire the bottom 10% every 12 mo. controversial.
7. **Competition:** Get a leaderboard they can see that is updated daily, and they get notified when another is making a sale (bell or thread w/ bell gif). 6 weeks works best. Three-man teams. One weekend trip. 25% of one month's check per person on the trip.
8. Keep an eye on the [[customer-life-cycle]] with [[business-metrics]].
